Dunstan Hospital is a modern, purpose built facility which includes a 24 acute bed inpatient ward (including a three bed High Dependency Unit) and provides secondary health services to around 25,000 people living in the wider Central Otago and Wanaka regions.

Clinical Dietitian

We are looking for an experienced Dietitian who is passionate about providing client centred assessment and intervention within a team environment.  The successful candidate will work across a range of services including outpatients, inpatient ward(s) and within the community.  The primary base will be Queenstown Lakes, with some clinical work at Dunstan Hospital, Clyde.   This is an exciting position which offers variety as you work. 

 

This position is for 24 hours per fortnight - hours may increase. 

 

In addition, applicants will have:

 

  • NZ Dietitian Registration

  • Current APC

  • Minimum of 2 years client focused experience

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • High standard of professional practice

  • An ability to work in a rural inter-disciplinary setting with complex patients

  • Excellent team work and communication skills

  • The ability to work autonomously as well as build and nurture trusted relationships

  • A current driver’s license

 

Current eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential.

Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT)

This is an excellent opportunity for a General Radiographer to join the dynamic and passionate diagnostic radiology team at Dunstan Hospital in Clyde.

 

We are currently seeking a flexible general MIT, preferably with CT experience.  The role will include participation in an on-call roster that includes weekend work.

 

The successful applicant will be comfortable working unsupervised.  You will also need to be familiar with using your initiative and great interpersonal communication skills to provide a comprehensive clinical MIT practice.  Enthusiasm for outstanding patient care and sensitivity to confidentiality will obviously be critical for the role.

 

You will of course need to be registered with the NZ MRTB as a Medical Imaging Technologist, and be experienced in all aspects of general radiography, while holding a current APC.  Experience in a rural environment would be helpful, but is not essential.

Casual Position - Cleaner
Central Otago Health Services Ltd

 

Central Otago Health Services Ltd (Dunstan Hospital) is looking for staff interested in fulfilling a casual cleaning role.  The hours of work will vary but will cover our 7-day operation.  Weekend work may be required, penal rates do apply.  Training will be provided to comply with our Infection and Control and Health and Safety practices. 

 

Applicants will need to:

  • Be enthusiastic and have a good sense of humour.

  • Have previous cleaning experience.

  • Excellent time management skills whilst being able to work unsupervised.

  • Be able to work under pressure, unsupervised.

  • Have an eye for detail verging on fussy – loves cleaning.

  • Have confident communication skills with all levels of personnel and patients.   Please note this role will involve some patient interaction whilst undertaking this roles.

  • Abide by our confidentiality policies and procedures.

  • Show a high standard of personal presentation.   A uniform will be supplied.
