Clinical Needs Assessor

Permanent Part Time 0.8 FTE

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Allied Health team as a Clinical Needs Assessor at Dunstan Hospital.  We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Clinical Needs Assessor predominantly based in the community. The applicant must be a qualified, registered Allied Health Professional or Nurse with a current practicing certificate and New Zealand driver’s license.

The role involves assessing client’s health and social needs using the interRAI assessment tool, creating a care plan that is client centered and goal focused.  This includes developing multi-agency care packages to support and maintain the health of older people in our region.

The successful applicant will require exceptional interviewing, assessment, and problem-solving skills. You will have high standards of professional practice and the ability to work in a rural interdisciplinary setting.

Ideally you will have experience working with older people in either a hospital, community, or an aged care environment.  Previous experience with the use of interRAI is preferred but not essential. The salary band for this role is: $91,644 - $107,000 per annum pro rata, dependent on experience.
