OPERATIONS MANAGER

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Operations Manager who wants to make a difference.  Based at Dunstan Hospital in Clyde, Central Otago, this full time position reports to the Chief Executive and is responsible for providing management of clinical and support services including activity and capacity planning, health targets, human resource management, quality and risk management, financial performance and service delivery improvements.  As a member of the Management Team, you will be involved in developing and implementing the overall strategic direction of the organisation and committed to implementing the new Health Reforms in the context of a rural, community-owned health service. 

To be successful in this position you will be:
•    Someone who has  successfully managed a range of clinical and support services
•    Future focussed and with a proven ability to lead teams
•    Passionate about delivering  high quality clinical care in rural communities
•    Experienced at developing and implementing models of care which reflect contemporary best practice and achieve seamless transitions for patients moving between secondary, community and primary care
•    a self-starter with a desire to forge strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
•    a confident communicator, able to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise and persuasive manner
