Dunstan Hospital is a rural trust hospital based in Clyde, Central Otago. We provide a wide range of healthcare services for a large geographical area, two and half hours from our base hospital in Dunedin.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join our team in the Outpatient service. The role is 0.3 FTE and there will be additional hours available on a casual basis.

 

The primary focus of this role is in Orthopaedics, including a fracture clinic. You will also work in the other areas of the service.

 

The Outpatient service provides a large range of specialist clinics and procedures, primarily Monday to Friday. Services include, but are not limited to: Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Oncology, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Paediatrics, Elderly Health and Gynaecology. We also provide a Fracture clinic and procedures such as Colonoscopies/Gastroscopies, Exercise Tolerance Tests, Plastering and ECGs.

 

You will work closely with the visiting medical specialists and nurses as well as with our own medical, nursing, administration and allied health teams. You will have responsibility for your own clinics as well as assisting others.

 

We are looking for a nurse who:

• Has a current Annual Practising Certificate.

• Has had recent nursing experience.

• Is self-motivated, positive, and enthusiastic both in service delivery and professional development.

• Is a genuine and committed team player.

• Is eligible to work in New Zealand.
