An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered Medical Social Worker to join our team in Central Otago, based at Dunstan Hospital. 

​

The Medical Social Worker will be an integral member of our allied health team, working together with whanau, caregivers, and community networks to improve the health journey of people in our care.  The role comprises of in-patient and community work in a continually expanding population with wide ranging health and social needs.

​

Ideally you will have experience working with older people in either a hospital, community, or aged care environment.  The ability to be flexible and adapt is essential to provide a seamless system of care from hospital to community.

​

The successful applicant will have high standards of professional practice and the ability to work in a rural interdisciplinary setting.

​

Applicants for this position must be registered with Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers and have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

​
