Maintenance Person - Permanent 

Central Otago Health Services Limited – Dunstan Hospital

Central Otago Health Services Limited is recruiting for a maintenance person to join our team based at Dunstan Hospital.  This role is a job share arrangement.


We require someone who is able to work 0.5 to 0.6 FTE on a permanent basis with flexibility of hours.  

Preferred days and hours of work (excluding public holidays) are:

  • Wednesdays 8am to 3pm

  • Thursdays 8am to 3pm

  • Fridays 8am to 3pm

  • Flexibility to cover Mondays and Tuesday would be advantageous.

This role will give you the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to work as an integral part of the hospital team but also autonomously.  You will need to be adept at using your initiative to ensure tasks are brought to conclusion.

The person we are seeking will have the ability to:

  • Prioritise tasks

  • Adapt to change and work unsupervised

  • “Fix” minor repairs for equipment, fixtures and fittings with attention to detail

  • Attend to a strict maintenance schedule and document process 

  • Be positive with a “can do” attitude

  • Have a tidy presentation (uniform supplied)

  • Have a current/clean drivers’ licence

  • Attend to heavy lifting from time to time
