Available through the hospital on a part-time basis (generally every Thursday or by arrangement). Messages can be left for the chemotherapy nursing team on the chemotherapy cell phone. Messages are cleared regularly.
NOTE: Chemotherapy is not a 24/7 service.

Rural Otago PHO contracts Central Otago Health Services Limited to provide a Diabetes Nurse Educator service, which offers support, education, nutrition advice and health checks to people with diabetes.
Though based at Dunstan Hospital, this is a mobile service covering Wanaka, Cromwell, Clyde, Alexandra, Ranfurly and surrounding areas.

Physiotherapy Services are provided at Dunstan Hospital to
inpatients, outpatients (at the unit) and as home visits if transport is
not possible.
If the Therapist is unable to answer the phone, a message may be left on the answer phone, or with the Community Health Services Receptionist.
• Treatment of musculoskeletal and respiratory conditions
• Rehabilitation of neurological, musculoskeletal or other conditions
• Hydrotherapy at the Molyneux Aquatic Centre
• Exercise classes
• Provision of walking aids
• Respiratory testing
Public funded Physiotherapy is also available through clinics at Wanaka and Cromwell. Contact details are available from the Community Health Services Receptionist.

Services are provided in the Vincent Ward, clinic or at home.
Referrals will be accepted by the Community Health Services Receptionist by phone, fax or mail.
If a Therapist is unavailable a message may be left with the Community Health Services Receptionist.

Comprehensive assessment, treatment and intervention for children (0-15 years) with a diagnosed physical, sensory or intellectual disability and their families.

Access to the Service is by referral.
If a Social Worker is unavailable a message may be left on the
answer phone or with the Community Health Services Receptionist.
• Allocation of home-help, personal care, meals on wheels, etc.
• Assessment of home and social situation
• Co-ordination with other community providers
• Termination of pregnancy (TOP) counselling
• Co-ordination of some aspects of terminal and palliative care

A Pharmacist is on call at all times. This service is provided to
Dunstan Hospital by Budges Central Pharmacy in Alexandra.

The Mobile Surgical Services Bus visits approximately one day every five weeks.
